Here is Carolina Gorun !

How would you define yourself in one word?
Curious or optimistic

How would you describe your state of mind when you're on stage?
I have a positive inner state, feeling the energy of the audience and I want to express all of my feelings and emotions. All together makes me fly and feel the power of creation.

How would you quickly tell your life story?
I was a good and active child, with a desire to learn. I started singing, participating in music competitions and my family supported me. I am very sociable, I have a lot of friends and that makes me happy. I like to do beautiful things and I am satisfied when the people are happy.

How does one make you angry?
I am a very balanced person who does not get annoyed by things so easily. It really takes a long time for me to get angry. I can't give you any example. But, maybe a thing... if you are unfriendly, I do not like it.

How does one make you happy?
At first my family, my friends and my business team. For sure if I can bring out my feelings and thoughts to all the people who listen to my music. I like to see friendly and happy people around me, so I want to give them a smile for a second, an hour or a day.

How would you define your taste in music?
For me it's all about the song and the lyrics inside. If there is a special hook, a chorus who catches me then I'm with the artist. That can be a pop or a rock song.

If there was just 1 artist you could listen to for the rest of your life, who would it be?
I'm a fan of Celine Dion, she is not just a great singer. Her fantastic voice coupled with her charisma and professionalism is what excites me.

How would you describe Reach for the stars, your song for the contest?
My song has a very beautiful theme, it is simple but very close to people's hearts. My song encourages to do beautiful things, to feel and to believe in in their own power. We sat together in the studio months before and thought about how we want to musically implement a theme, a concept. We consciously combine traditional sounds with modern pop elements, all incidentally recorded live by musicians, to give the song as much depth as possible.

How did you make the decision of entering Selectia Nationala this year?
You know, my German team and I have thought a lot, put a lot of intensity and power into the music and the lyrics. When we worked on it one day until late at night, the idea came up to try it. Since I have a Romanian passport, we decided together to start for Romania. We are very happy that we have been accepted and that we can present our results of long days and nights to a broad audience. We would be very happy if we could show that Europe can be connected by a song.

How is this year going to be different from your previous participations, in Moldova?
This is a song that I worked with directly, a huge team around me that has not only been very successful in business for years but also has international success. Behind it stands an overall concept that goes far beyond participating in the Eurovision Song Contest. But what is a new experience for me... it is the fact that for the first time I'm starting as an absolute outsider and not as a favorite. That's what makes it so exciting for me.
But let me say briefly that I am very proud and grateful that my fellow countrymen, as well as the Germans and even many Romanians, support me. This is really a great honor for me.

How would you make us want to come to Romania?
Romania is a very beautiful country, with lots of nice cities and tourist attractions, very friendly people and also with good musicians all around. So... welcome to Romania!

How do you picture Eurovision in 10 years?
I think it's one of the greatest shows around the globe. So many fans are coming together from different countries all over the world and celebrate in peace to just have a good time. I hope that it stays that way and gets even bigger.

How are you going to win Eurovision 2018?
The important thing is to have a positive disposition, to sing for people and to do this from the bottom of the heart.
