In just a few days, we will know the entirety of the 18 songs competing to represent France in Lisbon. To help waiting in the meantime, what about discovering a new artist?
Here is Max Cinnamon !
How would you define yourself in one word?
How would you describe your state of mind when you're on stage?
I love making people happy and seeing their reactions. The energy that the public brings makes me feel alive and motivates me. I am calm and confident when I am on stage.
How would you quickly tell your life story?
As I am only 16 it is not a long story… this is just the beginning!
How does one make you angry?
Homework!!!! Homework for school makes me angry. (haha)
How does one make you happy?
Steak and chips. This makes me very happy.
How would you define your taste in music?
My taste is pretty diverse. I listen to some older artists as well as contemporary.
If there was just 1 artist you could listen to for the rest of your life, who would it be?
Birdy. Or Ed Sheeran’s first album.
How would you describe Ailleurs, your song for Destination Eurovision?
It’s a fun upbeat song what will make people dance and feel happy. It also has that chill vibe that I like in music.
How did you make the decision of entering Destination Eurovision this year?
I was asked if I would submit a song for it so I did. I didn’t expect to be a part of 18 finalists! They all have so much more experience then me.
How would you make non-French fans want to come and visit France?
France has everything one could wish for: beautiful sceneries, mountains, sea, great food.
How do you picture Eurovision in 10 years?
A platform for young artists to express and showcase their original musical talent.
How are you going to win Eurovision 2018?
Just by being myself. Hopefully that will be enough.
Max, thank you very much for this interview! The youngest artist in the French selection will be defending his song Ailleurs this Saturday during the second semi-final of Destination Eurovision.
